It's a Black & White Thing

The holiday season is upon us and oh what a year it has been. Three little pretties have sprout up since you last saw them, and are getting ready for that time of year! Back to school...check. Fall pics...check. Wedding...check. Daddy/daughter dance...check. Next...Thanksgiving and Christmas. Take a peek at what they'll be wearing to dinner and for their Christmas card photo session.

Print Play

Three little pretties are well into spring and getting ready for summer, with these perfectly printed pieces. Mix and match is their thing and they show you how to do it well.

Bella, Mac and Kel break in the shade between takes.

Mac’s striped, floral shift dress is old, similar can be found here. Chuck Taylor Converse here and her pink & purple print head scarf is also old from hm.com.

Bella uses mommy’s zebra print scarf to make her turban. Her striped, peplum top is from crazy8.com and similar aztec printed leggings from macys.com. 

Kel's nautical chic outfit starts with a blue plaid, puff-sleeve top, similar found here and she finishes it off with pinstriped trousers, cuffed and belted with pink accents.

The holidays are coming fast and furiously! 3LP's get ready for their annual holiday card, parties and of course, Christmas! This year they donned shades of pink/peach, silver and winter white.

It almost felt ballerina-like, so we chose to play with backdrops from the popular Christmas musical "The Nutcracker", enjoy!

Bella sits pretty in a lace bodice, tulle bottom and satin ribbon dress from jcp.com.

Kel's sweater dress with jeweled shoulders was a great find at Marshall's. Similar jeweled dresses can be found here and here. More sweater dresses can be found here.

Mac is wearing a grey sweater with satin ribbon detail (on back) which she picked out of her closet after she saw the skirt I purchased. Similar can be found here, and the skirt here.

Mac gets a lot of love from her sisters. She is wearing a leopard print, metallic top from Target. Winter white lace shorts with grey and gold leggings. Bella and Kel are wearing sequined sweaters from hm.com. Bella (left), opted for tweed shorts from zara kids and Kel is wearing a grey tulle skirt.

Our third and final back to school post for 2015 feature 3LP's in preppy wear

Mac tells it like it is!

Mac's accessories (headband and glasses) can be found on target.com. Her pink knit blazer and peter pan collar blouse, jcp.com. Her navy bowtie is from Gymboree's spring collection.

We found Bella's silver thread striped white shirt here, coral twill pants here and bowtie she got during the spring, but similar version can be found at gymboree.com.

Kel, once again doing her own thing... Her shirt with plaid necktie is old, but similar can be found here and super pink skinny jeans here.

YES…Back to School (already)

So if you're a shopper like I am, you've probably noticed most retailers have been clearing out summer goods and setting up back to school shops. I've scored great kids finds on clearance racks from Zara, Gap, Crazy 8 and Target, all up to 50% off! If you haven't started your shopping, now is the time...

Three Little Pretties ventured out to Lanier Middle School, a Vanguard magnet school, located in the heart of Houston's Montrose historic district. Lanier, built in 1926 provided the perfect vignette for our back to school looks. It was hot. It was humid. And 3lp's were cranky, but managed to suck it up enough for our photographer to capture these fab shots. Here's part one of our fun kids fashion...Enjoy!

It’s Summer

Backyard bbq's, trips to Galveston and lots of pool time are synonymous with summertime in H-town.
Three little pretties are gearing up for some sun and nautical fun!

We intended to make a trip out to Galveston Bay for our summer shoot, but mother nature had other intentions. The Houston area received heavy flooding in the last few weeks which left some areas water ridden. We were spared in our area, so we opted to use the backyard! Here 3LP's hit the seas in these nautical inspired looks.

For the most part all were agreeable, then Kel started being...well, Kel (as is evident in some of the shots). Bella was even keel and cooperative, while Mac did her own thing...shades, no shades. necklace, no necklace. skirt, no dress. Click here for outfit deets.

Now is a great time to start thinking about back to school shopping while most retailers are clearing out their stock for the fall. My all time favorite, zara.com, starts their semi-annual sale at the end of June. I take this opportunity to stock up for my girls, for school and next summer. Spring Fling!

Spring time in Texas means Bluebonnet sightings. The Bluebonnet is not only the state flower, but it is to Texas what the cherry blossom is to Japan. Families all over the state use the sea of blue fields as backdrops to their portraits. There are hundreds of websites dedicated to this one particular flower.

Well, us New Yorkers trying to live this Southern life also went in search of these said Bluebonnet fields for our backdrops...guess we were too late. Rodeo Roundup!

It’s rodeo season in Houston! For our first edition, these little pretties went cowgirl cool! We wrangled straw hats, bandanas, jeans and of course…BOOTS. It wouldn’t be a rodeo without boots, but I keep things real—when are they really going to wear these again?
